Obituary of Brian A. Raspa

Brian Ansley Raspa - 64, of Somers Point, passed away peacefully at home on March 6, 2021. Brian resided at the Carriage House Apartments in Somers Point for the past two years. Brian enjoyed spending time at the William Morrow Beach and fishing off of the pier. Brian led a full life. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, where he worked on the construction of many of the casinos in Atlantic City. Brian held the Electrician I and II certifications. He was a tremendous help to anyone that had an electrical problem. Brian learned his trade at the Vocational Technical School in Mays Landing, graduating in 1976. Brian was a bit of a Jack-of All-Trades. He was the grill man at Back Bay Barbeque in EHT. He was a skilled boat mechanic with a specialty on inboard engines and worked for over ten years at Graeff's boatyard in EHT. Brian enjoyed working at marinas. He loved the water, especially the back bays of Somers Point. Brian was truly an outdoorsman! Above all, Brian was a true master chef. He was a great baker and his specialties were banana bread and corn bread. He prepared fantastic meats as well. He loved experimenting with different rubs! Brian was a very social and a very friendly person. He will be missed dearly by his good friends Richard and Susan Sless, Greg Petitt, and Bill Bradley. Brian will be interred at the Laurel Memorial Park Cemetery alongside his parents. Services are private. Donations in Brian's name can be made to the Grace Lutheran Church Food Pantry at 11 East Dawes Ave, Somers Point, NJ 08244.
