Obituary of Cheryl A. Milburn

Please share a memory of Cheryl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Thursday August 26, 2021, Cheryl Ann Milburn passed away suddenly. Cheryl always looked forward to one day meeting her father, Robert Nowicki in Heaven, and now she is doing just that. She was born on April 29, 1959 at Craig's Air Force Base in Selma, Alabama. She grew up in Warminster, Pennsylvania with her mother (Audrey), her father (Robert), and two brothers (Bob and Joel). She later moved to Southern Jersey where she met her husband Thomas Milburn. They shared 35 amazing years together, and devoted all of her time to their three children Ryan (36), Caitlin (34), and Valerie (32). She is also voted, hands down, World's Best Grandmal to Cayla Jewel Jones (7) and Little Eric Jones Jr. (9). Cheryl loved being a teacher's aide at Atlantic County Special Services School District. She dedicated so much of her time and love to her students for over 30 years. Cheryl had a passion for the outdoors and nature. She loved gardening, taking her family to "the cabin," taking walks or hikes, fishing, kayaking, and tubing. She also enjoyed playing board games, card games, putting together puzzles, and arts and crafts. Cheryl was always known for helping others. You could call her at any time, day or night, and she was there for you. She was a great friend. Her two lifelong friendships with Rose and Dee were very special to her. She loved going for cocktails with Dee, and Bayfest or Florida vacations with Rose. Her goofy sense of humor, always smiling, laughing, or dancing, Cheryl was always in good spirits. Although Cheryl had many obstacles to overcome in her lifetime, including a long battle with breast cancer, and complications from reconstructive surgery, she always conquered and persevered. For those reasons she was admired and loved by so many. If you knew Cheryl Milburn, then you knew she was strong, hardworking, determined, enthusiastic, and just an all-around good person. She left many beautiful memories behind and was loved by so many. We will be holding a Memorial Gathering at Middleton-Stroble & Zale Funeral Home in Somers Point, NJ this Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 1 to 2:30pm. Masks will be required. We are asking friends and family to join us immediately afterwards for a Celebration of Life at Gregory's Restaurant & Bar in Somers Point, NJ.
