Csaszar, Marlene (Nee BERNHARDT) - 84, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 15, 2021. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 31, 1937. Her family moved to Atlantic City at the age of 12. She went to St. Nicholas Elementary School and Holy Spirit High School, Massachusetts Ave. in Atlantic City. Marlene and her husband, William made their home in Northfield, NJ, where they raised their family and lived over 40 years. Marlene was involved with Northfield All-Sports and Boosters. She found great joy in coaching the Northfield Cardinals cheerleaders. She enjoyed going to the casinos, travelling with her sisters, and loved cruises with her daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, her parents, Elwood and Eleanor Bernhardt, sister, Carole Bernhardt, grandson, Kyle Csaszar and granddaughter, Victoria Pilallis. She is survived by her sister Claire Yoxheimer, her daughter, Christina Rattigan, son, William (Jeneane) Csaszar, son, Scott (Colleen) Csaszar, daughter, Karyn (Keith) Csaszar, daughter, Michelle (Richard) Pilallis. She is also survived by grandchildren, Kacie Rattigan, Scott (Margaret) Csaszar, Jonathan (Brianna) Smith, Kaitlyn (Michael) Leary, Jennifer Pilallis, Erica (Nicholas) Pilallis, and Kristina Csaszar and great-grandchildren, Gavin, River, Avery, Nicholas, Richard, and Michael, well as many nieces and nephews, including her four-legged companion, Maxie. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, July 20 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Middleton-Stroble & Zale Funeral Home, 304 Shore Road, Somers Point, NJ. Due to COVID-19 precautions, everyone must wear a mask and social distance themselves 6 ft. Services will be private to help ensure the health and safety of her many friends and family.
