Obituary of Sharon L. O'Brien

Please share a memory of Sharon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sharon L. O'Brien, age 71, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, passed away peacefully after a battle of leukemia on Tuesday April 20th, 2021 with her loving devoted husband of 52 years by her side. To say Sharon lost her battle would be untrue because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she became she was always determined and beat the unthinkable when others would've lost. She would always make sure to get herself home because she never wanted to be hospitalized. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly looks like. Everyone that knew Sharon knew she could never stay in one place too long. She would get her home all together and decorated only to then say it's time to move again. She finally found somewhere to put down some roots in Cape Coral, Florida. Sharon loved to float on a raft in the pool with her family. She lived her with her husband, mom and son Shawn for almost ten years before heading back up north. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Maurice and Elizabeth (McAndrews) Cotter, Elizabeth Amoroso her sister, Paul Cotter her brother, and Shawn O'Brien her beloved son. Sharon is survived by her husband Patrick J. O'Brien and their three children Patrick O'Brien, Christie Charles, Kevin O'Brien, and her four grandchildren Ashley and Coner O'Brien, Courtney and Jordan Charles, and great grandchild Luzanna O'Brien. We know she is at peace now with her son and family members. You are loved dearly. Due to Covid the family has decided to forgo funeral services and celebrate Sharon's life privately.
