Vicky Guld

Obituary of Vicky Jean Guld

On June 1, 2020, Vicky Jean Guld lost her life to Covid-19 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-Mainland Campus in Pomona, New Jersey. She was just 59 years old. Vicky was born at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point and raised in Linwood, New Jersey. She also spent 10 years living in New York City. Though she left the city, the city never left her. She was a fan of all New York sports teams with football being her favorite. She was a die-hard Giants fan. Vicky attended Linwood Public Schools and Mainland Regional High School. After high school, she enrolled at Shore Beauty School and received a degree in Cosmetology. Vicky enjoyed being a hairstylist and loved her clientele. Her clients were more than "just hair," their lives were intertwined with hers and they considered her family. She played a major role in many of their life events: weddings, first haircuts, first dates, school dances, graduations and so much more. They could come to her at their worst and she made them see themselves as someone new. Maybe that's why some clients thought of her as their own personal therapist. They trusted her with their secrets and turned to her for advice. She was a constant confidant in so many people's lives. Vicky was a daughter, sister, friend, mother and a Mom-Mom. She loved being a mother. Her son, Nick, brought her so much pride and joy. He was her world. When he met Britni, she became the daughter Vicky never had. She longed to be a Mom-Mom and on August 16, 2017, Nick and Britni made that dream come true. Although Nick was an only child, Vicky was known to many as "Mom." She welcomed Nick's friends with open arms and treated them all as if they were her own. Regardless of their relationship to Vicky, everyone knew that she was full of life. She was incredibly genuine and candid. Her loud personality and humor demanded the attention of the room. Her larger than life character will leave a lasting impression on us all. She is predeceased by her father Joel F. Guld; step-fathers Paul J. Carmel Jr and John R. Shute Sr; sister Catherine DeLeuuw; nephew-in-love Shane Swenson and her loyal dog, Foxy. She is survived by her devoted son Nicholas A. Ramsey (Britni Dubitsky); adored granddaughter Natascia; mother Patricia Shute; siblings Steve (Karen) Guld, Patty (John) Iannuzzi, Jeff (Shirley) Guld, Dawn (Chuck) Heil, Laurie (Tom) Grinnan; sister-in-love Lennea Swenson; nieces and nephews Jessica, Serena, Nicole, Taylor, Logan, Erik, Valerie, Tommy, Samantha, Owen, Rhys, Raelyn and the late Jasmine; nephews-in-love Dylan, Ryan; step-siblings John Shute Jr, Jane Shute, George (Debbie) Shute, Jimmy Shute; step-nieces and nephews Brianna, Danielle, Alexandra, Kelly, Brian, Stephanie, John, Isabella, Nicholas, John, Emma, Brandon, Carson, Case, Makenzie, Kaylee, Kori, Owen, Tynlie, Bridge and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, a graveside ceremony will be private to help ensure the health and safety of her many friends and family. While Vicky's family grieves their loss, they are choosing to remember Vicky in a way that honors her spirit. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at a later date.
