Wednesday, January 9, 2019Eddie has been my friend since grade school. There are so many memories of hanging out with our group of friends in Somers Point, the trail, the pit, riding bikes, hanging out at friends houses listening to music and laughing our butts off. Maybe even having a Rolling Rock nip every now and then ;) We lost contact for a short time, life happens, but the minute we got back in contact 20 yrs ago, those blue eyes and his Tarves hat, could not be missed. Every week he'd pull up at my work in his ride on mower and pull next to my parking spot and we'd talk for a few. When we were young he asked me out a few times and Id say "where's my flowers"? When we met at the county building 20yrs ago, my job had this yuck garden area so we talked about what would make it lovely, so again I started with "Tarves! Where's my flowers"?! That garden did get filled with wild flowers. When I got a new home, and he knew I didnt have a mower, i came home some days and my lawn was cut. I didnt ask for that, he just did it. I am forever grateful. He has shown his rough side and his most tender heart. We will miss you Edward W. Tarves. My condolences to the family and everyone effected by his passing.
