I’m so sorry. Basil is an old friend of mine, I worked with him at Caesars in the late 80’s. He was a great dealer and had a quick wit. I just found out, i came back home after being away a long while- I’m so sorry, I will miss him, he will always have a place in my heart ❤️

I went to Stockton State College. Knew a guy named Basil Mangano. Was 81-83. Would this be him? He was a good guy, always in a good mood, made you laugh. We weren’t best friends but I will never forget him. He popped into my head this morning as I was telling my wife a funny story about him. Decided to look him up in FB. Very sad to hear , whether this is the same man or not. Would like to know.

I met BD in 1982. We had millions of laughs together. I will always remember when he bought his Mitsubishi and giggling at him learning to drive a stickshift, our arguments over the better team (I still say it's the Packers), and our rides around the island. I will miss him terribly.

BD taught me many things growing up. The passion he had for the Vikings, the sound of Genesis. In our youth, he was the best friend you could ask for.

He was like “another brother” in our youth; he will be missed but surely enjoying front row seats to all things Vikings and Gabriel now.
Rest easy & Rock on, BD

I will always remember his adorable self as a baby, a little boy, a teen ager.. and as a grown man and a dedicated father. He was so thoughtful and kind.. and I can not believe he is gone. I’m sorry I can not be there as I am away but you are all in my thoughts and prayers and I love each and everyone of you with all my heart. ❤️

Dear Basil,
Over the past few decades I have always counted on you as one of my closest friends. This was particularly true during the football season as we would share in the weekly exploits of the Mighty Vikings. I will try to hang in there to celebrate our first Super bowl victory, they better hurry-up.
I will miss your weekly visits and the many shows that we saw together. You are missed already and will always be remembered.
