John Martin Plisko, Jr., husband, father, and Grandpop, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a long and valiant battle with Prostate Cancer on Monday January 4, 2021. Born in Chester, PA, he was the son of the late John Martin Plisko and Katherine Mae Frantz (Miles). He was also predeceased by his sister Diane Brubaker. John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cheryl Plisko, his children Christa Califano (Paul), Michael (Kay), Matthew (Lina), Stephen (Tiffany), and his grandchildren Jolyon, Brianna, Javien, Hailey, Lucy, Carson, Ben, Sophia, and Hanna. John was a graduate of Williamson College of the Trades in Media, PA. He went on to become self-employed and started building beautiful homes and offices in the South Jersey area. He was doing well, so he then decided to move his family to Somers Point, NJ and a new chapter was started. As his sons got older, he started teaching his sons his trade. He was an avid fisherman who shared his knowledge with his grandchildren. His favorite pastime was fishing on the Duke O'Fluke and winning the fishing pool. As a family we know many people have some crazy memories of John. At this time, we wish for everyone to remember John in that way! We thank you for all your prayers and support. At this time the family does not wish to have a service due to Covid-19. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice.
