Mary J. Fisher (Denison), age 85, a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25th, 2020 with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Edward Fisher for 57 years and a longtime resident of Somers Point, NJ. She is survived by her three daughters, Dianne Platt, Elaine Dix, Joan Glenn and her son, Jim Fisher. She was a proud 'Gram' to eight grandchildren Ryan, Wade, Katie, Craig, Scott, Austin, Kristyn, and Addisyn and one great-grandchild, Colby. Raised in Camp Hill, PA, she was the youngest child with five older brothers. She was predeceased by her brothers Jim, Jack, Bill, and Bob Denison and is survived by her brother Charles "Chick" Denison.
Mary was a great soul who always found the good in everything and everyone. She was steadfast in her commitment to her faith and her family. She loved traveling and spent many summers as the co-pilot on cross country road trips, camping with Ed and her children and grandchildren. Easy to please, she was always ready for the next adventure, whether it be a trip to Yellowstone or a simple drive down the street. Mary was a tough woman with a quick wit and a smile that could light up any room. A hard-worker, Mary enjoyed sewing, crafts, and using her green thumb putzing around the flower beds at her home. In her final years, she lived happily at the Fountains in Atco, NJ where she attended every activity and never missed a Friday happy hour.
Mary's heart of gold and sweet smile brightened the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy of love, simple pleasures and travel lives on in her children and grandchildren. We give thanks to God for the love and joy Mary brought to our lives. A small, private memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Somers Point, NJ.
