Carl L. Norman, 66, of Marmora, formerly of Somers Point, went home to be with the Lord on October 8, 2018. He died peacefully in his home after a brief illness. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Patti, and his faithful companion, Julie Dog. Carl is also survived by his mother, Evelyn (Jack) Rush, his sister, Karen (Johnny), and his brothers, Steve (Toni), Jimmy, Danny, Ray (Jessica), and Kenny. Carl joined the Army after high school and proudly served in Vietnam from 1969-1972. Carl was a self-taught, self-employed building contractor in Atlantic and Cape May County for more than 30 years. Carl and Patti enjoyed traveling, cruising, playing tennis, and spending winters in Florida in their motor home. Carl was a faithful member of Resurrection Parish, the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation on Thursday, October 11th 9:45-10:45am at Resurrection Church, Marmora, followed by 11am Mass. The burial will be private, per Carl's wishes, in Cape May Veteran's Cemetery.
