Norma M. Lindbloom passed into eternal life on Friday, February 9, 2018 at The Shores Nursing Home in Ocean City, N.J. She was 82. She was the daughter of the late George and Mary (McKee) Galbraith, and the loving mother of Lynn Barlow (Richard), Norma Lindbloom Cruz, Mary Jo Smith (William), Heidi Meyer (David), Alan Pavlik (Cathy), Susan Pavlik (Sarah), Greta Carlton (Dale), Karen Hodge, and Richard Pavlik (Joann). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Norma was preceded in death by her brother, Herman Leve, and sister, Jane Malloy.
Born in Philadelphia, Norma had been a resident of Falls Township and a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Levittown. She was a retired engineering secretary at Lower Bucks Hospital and later an office manager at Center for Arson Research. Norma was very involved in the Pennsbury School District where she dedicated her life to help further education for young people. She served as board member and president of the Pennsbury Scholarship Foundation, co-founder and board member of the Center for Student Learning Charter School, PTO president and PTO/school board liaison. She will be remembered by many as "The Voice" of the community.
A memorial visitation will be held 10 am to 11 am, followed by a celebration of life service on Saturday, February 24, at the First Baptist Church, 6131 Emilie Rd, Levittown. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Pennsbury Scholarship Foundation.
