Raymond Fugee, a lifetime resident of Somers Point, passed away peacefully on August 26th, 2017 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was a beloved father of Max and Lindsay Goldstein, husband of Katie Fugee, son of Janice and Robert (Bob) Fugee, and son-in-law of Eddie Schulnick. He joined the Somers Point Fire Company #2 in 1974, at the age of 18, following the footsteps of his father. He worked for the family business, Bob's Auto Repair, starting at the age of 14. There is not a person in town that he doesn't know. He was Max and Lindsay's biggest fan, as he saw every concert and marching band competition they were in. He leaves behind his family Pam, Ed, and the entire Fugee family, as well as his Godson, Dane Romantino, his brother Nick, and their sister Gigi. His extended family, Bob and Jody Wessner, Kathy and Dave Evans, and Gail and Ken Deems. His extended children, Shelby, Kirsten, Kyle, Rachel, Chris, and Ashlie. His brothers of SPFC #2 will forever be a part of him. His wife Katie will remember him for asking her to go with him on a liquor store run the first night they met. His daughter Lindsay will remember him for their 26-hour road trip from Somers Point to Disney World with the never-ending loop of Bruce Springsteen music. His son Max will always remember being told "I WILL FIND OUT EVENTUALLY".
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ray's memorial gathering on September 8th 7-9PM at the Somers Point Fire Company #2, New Jersey Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Somers Point Fire Company #2.
